September Newsletter

September is the time of year when all over the country children are heading back to school and exchanging the long hours of summer activity for classes, studies and team sports. It is a busy time for the family in preparation of buying school clothes, books and supplies and working out schedules. It is also a time to remember your child's back-to-school chiropractic checkup.

Keeping your children and teenagers well is a vital part of preparation for school. They need to feel their best for sports, for studies and for general resistance to sickness as well as for vitality and enthusiasm. This chiropractic checkup ensures that the life-giving energy is flowing through the body in order to function properly. Just as proper nutrition and plenty of sleep play an important part, so does maintaining the proper alignment of the spine. Think of all the physical activities such as a sudden jolt, falls, jumps and sudden twists that occur, which could bring about misalignment to the spine. Minor injury could have occurred without the child or the parent being aware of it. Correcting a minor spinal problem can prevent it from developing into a major one.

Everyday activities depend entirely on the brain power transmitted through the nervous system in order to coordinate and propel movement. Our nervous system is made up of the brain, and the spinal cord which is housed and supported by the spinal column.

Maintenance of the spine at optimum condition is important to top performance, both physical and mental. To keep your children feeling good and performing at their best, remember to make back-to-back school chiropractic appointments. Call us today.

Yours in health,

Dr. Cassara & staff
