Since February is
Heart Month, it is good to consider what recent research
has emphasized in the effect of chiropractic care on heart patients
and, especially, in the area of blood pressure.
One clinical study was carried out in a chiropractic practice on
75 patients. The chief complaint was back pain but each patient
displayed significant abnormal blood pressure -- being either hypertensive
or hypotensive. All subjects received a clinical course of chiropractic
adjustment until joint function was greatly improved.
It was given at all levels where subluxation was found (spinal misalignment).
Following two months and an average of nine treatments, the study
reported large mean reductions in hypertensive levels (76% systolic,
86% diastolic) and similar increases (70% systolic, 73% diastolic)
with hypotensive levels. The conclusion was that abnormal
blood pressures either rise or fall toward the optimum as vertebral
subluxation is reduced.
Hypertension - high blood pressure - is one of the recognized risk
factors in heart attacks. See Dr. Cassara regularly to be sure your
spine is in top condition. A slight misalignment could impair the
nerve functions to your heart or other parts of your body and prevent
optimum health.
Yours for better health,
naturally,
