What are emotions?

The ancient acupuncturists correlated the different emotions to different organ meridians in our body. Example: fear to kidney, anger to liver, grief to lungs, etc. Even though the primary locations for the physiology of emotions are in the brain, spine, autonomic nervous system, and acupuncture meridians, emotions do affect any and all parts of the body in a physiological way. Emotions affect the digestive system, which interferes with the normal digestion of food a person eats. So there is no question that a person's mental attitude affects their health.

The effect of your emotions on your nervous system can be evaluated with applied kinesiology techniques. Many emotional and anxiety reactions can be improved by working to release these "blocked emotions".

Every thought we think is creating our future. Everyone suffers from some sort of emotional set back, whether it is self-hatred, guilt or fear. These are only self-inflicted thoughts, and thoughts can be changed. Thoughts held in mind produce after their kind. We create every so-called disease in our body. Anger, fear, guilt and criticism are the most damaging patterns. We must release the past and forgive everyone, including ourselves. Releasing these emotions begins a healing within ourselves. Learning to love ourselves, self-approval, and self-acceptance are the keys to positive changes. When we truly learn to love ourselves, all things in our lives work for the good.
