Health and Recreation.
After graduating from UWF he returned to Vero and began teaching
Physical Education in the Indian River School District.
While coaching he
injured his back and underwent surgery. After surgery he continued
to experience several years of pain and was on a quest for relief
After many treatments of physical therapy, biofeedback, and pharmaceuticals,
he finally reverted to chiropractic treatment. By following the
prescribed chiropractic treatment schedule the pain gradually faded
and became virtually pain free.
Dr. Cassara became
interested in the chiropractic field and after 14 years of teaching
moved his family to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Life Chiropractic
College. In 1986 he graduated from Life Chiropractic College,
passed
the National and Florida State Chiropractic License Exam, and returned
to Vero Beach. Dr. Cassara opened Cassara Chiropractic
Center on March 10, 1987 and he
and has been helping people get well ever since.
Dr. Cassara enjoys working with his hands and during his high school
and college years worked at different types of trades, arranging
from agriculture to construction. These life experiences have given
him the understanding of the physical stresses and mechanism of
injury that can occur while performing these job requirements. Dr.
Cassara uses this knowledge to understand the nature of injuries
that can occur from manual labor and has designed specific programs
to reverse the instabilities and promote lasting relief.
